DETROIT Venture Partners summer fellowship

We are excited to share that we are now accepting applications for our 2024 Summer Fellowship. This program is designed to give MBA and undergraduate fellows immersive, hands-on experience to venture capital and early stage operating roles.
Fellows will be based in Detroit with us this year. We're open to discussing a hybrid format to accommodate summer travel plans, but working together in person is the best way for Fellows to get the most out of this experience.
If you love tech, are looking for more than the average summer internship experience, and want to be a part of Detroit's historic entrepreneurial evolution, we would love to meet you.

Detroit Venture Partners is more than the standard venture capital fund. We serve as the venture arm of Dan Gilbert's family office (founder/chairman of Rocket Companies and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers). We back seed and early-stage startup teams with the grit, creativity, and passion to tackle and mold opportunity. Our investments include StockX, 100 Thieves, InvestNext, CoverTree, and Livegistics.
the role
Fellows will be among a cohort of top tier students, working directly within one of our Detroit-based portfolio companies full-time. Specific roles will be contingent on your background and the needs of your company placement, but can range from marketing, business development, and operations to engineering, product management, data analytics, and more.
Fellows will also participate in venture capital programming and speaker series throughout the summer, as well as collaborate on a project related to Detroit Venture Partners.
what we look for
The Detroit Venture Partners Summer Fellowship is for students from all majors with a demonstrated passion for technology, entrepreneurship, strong analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and an interest in Detroit. Must be a humble collaborator with a high degree of empathy for early-stage founders and the risks they take. Both Undergraduate and MBA students will be considered.
